Welcome to the Biomathematics Group!

Understanding the complexity of life through mathematics: Our work is motivated by the intricate interplay of geometry, biochemistry, and dynamics in biological systems. Using methods from partial differential equations, the calculus of variations, and geometric measure theory, we tackle fundamental questions about cell shapes, protein distribution, and membrane processes. We seek to advance mathematical methods, uncover new structures, and illuminate main organizing principles in complex behavior.
